Critique My W/e Build – Please
I recently changed secondary professions from W/r to W/e.
Here is the build I came up with. Keep in mind I have not yet capped any E elite skills yet.
Armor (2 Sets)
Glad. - (for energy)
Berzerker’s - (for health)
Runes (the same on both sets of armor)
Superior Vigor
Superior Absorb
Minor sword
Minor strength
Minor Tatics
Weapons
Zealous +5e and +1 on hit -1 regen rate (Primary weapon)
FDS +30 HP
IDS + 30 HP
Furious Fellblade +30 HP
Shield has +30 HP
Attr points
13 str
13 to swd
remainder on fire.
Skills
Res Sig
Deny Pain
Warriors Endurance –E
Rush
B-defense
Pheonix
Inferno
Flare
Strategy
This is an energy based warrior. I have 32 energy. I use warriors endurance the zealous swd to gain 4 energy on hit. Coupled with B-defense I keep my energy up. This way I can spam phoenix and inferno as much as possible. I do have to run away to let skill fire and then run back in for melee but it seems to work ok. The attr points to fire this gives phoenix almost 100 base dam + explosion dam and inferno about 100 dam also.
As the enemy grp approaches they are usually grouped together. PvE or GvG
I hit with phoenix before we meet up. Once we meet I hit inferno. I still have energy to hit warriors endurance.
If there are too many in PvE I can use flare or phoenix to draw.
If monk does his job well. I should stay alive long enough to kill most of the enemies.
If my health runs too low I will switch swords in mid battle for the extra health and If I can spare the couple of seconds in mid battle I will switch armor to the berserker armor for even more health. It will buy my time to regen deny pain. I tried this and it is difficult to switch armor but the swd trick works great. I am still working on being fast enough to switch armor.
What do you think?

Why would you run this instead of an Ele? They have more energy, better energy management, and do more damage.

I am not sure what you mean by that but I guess you are saying it is not a good build. Thanks for the input

I'm assuming that "Deny Pain" is "Endure Pain" (can't have 2 elites)...
I'd suggest:
-Res Sig
-Endure Pain
-Warrior's Endurance
-Conjure (depends what sword you use; Flame with FDS, Frost with IDS)
If you''re using FDS, then:
-Inferno (fast to cast)
-sword attack skill
-sword attack skill
-sword attack skill
Pheonix takes a while to cast (IMO, a little too long for a melee fighter, unless you bring Glyph of essence)
I don't think I'd bring bonetti's; you're using Warrior's endurance to charge your energy back up.
I've used this basic build for most of Factions, with consistent results.
With your zealous sword, you can definitely change up this build, but I myself am starting to experiment with a lot of them, so I couldnt recommend any at this moment. I will say, after a lot of reading and some experimentataion, to get yourself a good axe also; don't neglect the axe skills, they're great for farming...

Heres my basic Pveing W/E:
Immolate
Inferno
Hundred Blades/Dragon Slash
Galrath slash
Final Thrust/Silverwing Slash
Distracting Blow
Healing Signet
Ressurection Signet
^This is what I like to run but its just an idea for you to build upon or use and about your build...no need to go so defensive as a warrior. Even if you're trying to "Tank" you might as well just try and go offensive and helm relieve your monk of those pesky warriors or just kill the most annoying monster. Thats just my opinion anways.

You should maube get gladiators defense, using that you could sustain it ( along with your high strength) for a very long time, plus you could solo.. and if you haven't spent lots on becoming an ele, go monk.
Good luck on your build and feel fre to visit my thread for tips on adjusting to a sentinal build, look fo rthe "fortitude vs. defense mod" thread...it kinda went outta control for the first few ( i think start at page 5?), but there are really nice tips for you and me =). BTW vampiric is great for you to use and go glads defense if you get lots of energy 28 energy plus ur zealous and bonetti's = lots of unused energy.

... Wow, for once, the suggestions on how to improve a crap-tastic build are equally crap-tastic.

You didn't answer my question. Why would you play this build instead of just playing an elementalist? They do everything you're trying to do *better* than you can do it.
Stick to warrior skills for your damage.

Excuse me having never played Warrior before.
If you're so desperately wanting to go fire, I'd go:
Hundred Blades {E}
Sever Artery/Galrath Slash
Gash/Silverwing Slash
Final Thrust
Dolyak Signet
Protector's Strike (For the 1/2) Or Phoenix (Well, you wanted it).
Conjure Flame (I don't like it...)
Resurrection Signet

I want to see if I have your stats correct:
Strength: 12 + 1 minor rune = 13
Sword: 12 + 1 minor rune = 13
Tactics: 0 + 1 minor rune = 1
Fire Magic: 3
Main source of damage - Fire
If needed - use Sword attacks (with 0 skills used)
Why bother with Tactics minor rune?
B. Defense is a tactics skill but with 1 point, not worth using really. I think Sword attribute is too high, since you are mainly using your sword to gain energy, not to do damage.
If you need your sword to be at 13 in order to gain the benefits of your mods, then look for less demanding mods.
You cannot spam inferno nor pheonix at all. The recharge time is way too long, and phoenix has a cast time of 3 seconds.
Everything you have revolves around those 3 fire spells, but you only have 3 points into it?
I would suggest, lower your sword attribute and increase your fire. Also, get better fire spells.

You have no attacks, you have 3 fire magic with 3 fire magic skills, and no self heals. I think this build is awful.
